Hello everyone!

I am back from a long summer vacation. It was good to get away and spend time with family and old friends. It's hard to believe summer is over...though fortunately, here in Los Angeles we have an extended summer that last through October.

While I was away, I did have one person who was upset with me because she had ordered something here and I did not email back while I was on my trip. I did my best to notify people - with a big notice on my home page (and this blog) and an auto-reply email saying that I was away. She insisted after all this that I should have shut down my online store completely, and that she works with Reiki Masters who consistently get back to her emails within hours.

As I told her, and I'll tell you...I just can't promise that I'll respond to any email within a few hours. If there are Reiki Masters who are constantly in front of the computer 24/7 and want to promise that, great! However, I get a lot of people ordering things from Europe when I am asleep. I also do more than this website. I am out teaching yoga, or working with an individual client, or taking a class or workshop. Sometimes I am simply outside enjoying the sunshine!

I also have chronic fatigue syndrome, which is in remission provided I sleep a lot. There are days where I need to sleep for 10-12 hours!

I write this to remind people that this website is run by one human being, not a large corporation with a staff to handle inquiries 24/7. I won't promise what I can't deliver. And actually, I'd rather spend my time writing manuals and creating new systems that people can enjoy, than be responding to emails constantly.

I appreciate those of you who are patient and support the work I am doing here. Your positive emails and donations are wonderful - they keep me going. As you might expect, being a Reiki Master is not the path to instant riches...it's a calling, and not something I would have seen myself doing. I'm not a stereotypical new age Reiki Master where I'll promise to be sweetness and light all the time - but I try to be authentic and real.
